Method 1- Connect Lexmark Printer to Wi-Fi Using WPS Method
In this method, we are going to show how to connect your Lexmark Printer to a Wireless Network using the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup). Make sure you know where your WPS key is located, if you don’t know then you can search it on Google or your preferred search engine about your router make, model number, and WPS key.
A. Printers with Two Line LCD’s
Step 1- Navigate to Settings and Press OK.
Step 2– Using the right arrow key find Network/Ports option and Press OK.
Step 3- Using the same arrow key go to Wireless option and Press OK.
Step 4– Wi-Fi Protected Setup and Press OK.
Step 5– Start Push Button Method
Step 6– Now, A message will appear “Press the WPS Key on your router within 2 minutes”
What you need to do is Press the WPS key on your router within two minutes and see if your Lexmark Printer is connected to Wi-Fi or not? In most cases, it will if you follow the right steps as shown in the pictures above.
B. Printers with 2.8 inch Touchscreens
Step 1– Turn on your printer and scroll down to settings option using the touchscreen.
Step 2– Under settings scroll down using the touchscreen and tap Network/Ports.
Step 3– Next Tap on Wireless option
Step 4– Tap on Wi-Fi Protected Setup
Step 5– Start Push Button Method
Step 6– Press the WPS Key on your router within 2 minutes to complete the setup.
Step 7– To make sure your printer is connected to the Wireless Network check Network Status on your Lexmark Printer.
Method 2- Using Windows 10 Add a Printer Option
You can automatically add the wireless Lexmark Printer with the help of Windows 10 Add a Printer Option. Turn on your Printer first and follow these steps: –
Step 1– On your Windows search box (Windows Key + Q) type Printer.
Step 2– Click on Printers and Scanners Option.
Step 3– Click on Add a printer or scanner.
Step 4– Select your Printer and next Click on Add Device.
If Windows 10 was not able to find your printer? Then follow these steps: –
Step 1– Choose the option The printer that I want isn’t listed.
Step 2-Select Add a Bluetooth, wireless or network discoverable printer and Click on Next.
Step 3– Now, Select the Lexmark Printer and Follow the option shown on the Windows 10 screen.
Method 3- Push Button Configuration to Connect Lexmark Printer to Wi-Fi
For this method you need to check your router that whether its support WPS push-to-connect or not. If your router and printer both support push-to-connect then follow the step below.
- Using the control panel button on the Lexmark Printer Go to
- Network/Ports
- Network [x]
- Network [x] Setup
- Wireless
- Wireless Connection Setup
- Wi-Fi Protected Setup
- Start Push Button Method
- Follow the instructions on the printer and connect your Wi-Fi to the Lexmark printer
Method 4- Lexmark Software Installation CD or Lexmark Driver and Downloads
When you bought the printer, then you might have received the Lexmark Software Installation CD, insert into your computer and follow the steps suggested on the screen, when connecting your printer with the software ensure to choose Wireless Connection.
In case you don’t have a software installation CD/DVD you can download it from Lexmark official website. Follow these steps to download and install the Lexmark printer software.
Step 1– Visit Lexmark Drivers and Downloads Website.
Step 2– Select your Product. Enter your Printer Model No.
Step 3– Select the Operating System
Step 4– Now, Select the version of your Operating System (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10).
Step 5– Choose English as your Language.
Step 6– Choose Lexmark MS610 Series Driver and Software. (Your Printer Driver)
Step 7– Agree the License Agreement to download the software.
Step 8– Now, run the setup file to begin the installation process.
Step 9– Select an installation type
Step 10– Click on Install, Agree, and Continue
Step 11– Under Install option select the folder you want your driver to be installed and click continue.
Step 12- Wait for the installation process, select Wireless Connection on Select Connection Type box and Click on Continue.
Step 13- Inside Network Connection Select Yes and Continue.
Step 14- Let the software scan the printer and after it completes the scan select your printer and Click on Continue.
Let the download be completed and then try to follow all the instructions or guidelines the software shows. Install the program correctly and then you’ll be able to connect to the Wi-Fi from your Lexmark Printer.
Method 5- Pin Identification Number (PIN) Method
Make sure you know the IP address of your router and its username and password to log in from a computer. Follow the steps below to configure your Lexmark printer to Wireless network.
- Go to control panel.
- Network [x] > Network [x] Setup > Wireless > Wireless Connection Setup > Wi-Fi Protected Setup > Start PIN Method
- Copy the 8 digit WPS PIN
- Now get into your computer or laptop and open a web browser.
- Type in your router default IP address (192.168.X.X). Can be found the back of your router.
- Now enter your router’s username and password.
- Next find the WPS settings inside your router and then type in the 8 Digit WPS Pin.
- Click on Save and try a test print from your computer.
